Certified Kids Meditation Teacher!
This self-paced course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical tools, and experience needed to introduce meditation and mindfulness to children in engaging, supportive, and age-appropriate ways.
Throughout the course, you’ll explore and personally practice a variety of meditation and mindfulness techniques, including breath awareness, guided visualization, loving-kindness, body awareness, mindful movement, sensory practices, journaling, and more. You’ll also learn how to adapt these practices for younger children, tweens, and teens, recognizing that children may have different developmental needs, attention spans, interests, abilities, and levels of readiness.
This course goes beyond learning meditation techniques. You’ll explore how to create a supportive and welcoming environment, use storytelling and creative activities to encourage engagement, support emotional awareness and self-regulation, and respond thoughtfully when children become distracted, restless, hesitant, or uncomfortable. You’ll also learn how to organize well-rounded meditation classes using clear objectives, preparation, warm-ups, transitions, core meditation practices, reflection, and meaningful closings.
As you progress, you’ll apply what you learn through personal meditation practices, reflection journals, interactive activities, teaching scenarios, written assignments, and lesson planning. You’ll also create a complete Kids Meditation lesson plan with an original guided meditation script.
Move through the course at your own pace, take time to experience the practices for yourself, and allow your teaching perspective and style to develop along the way. The goal isn’t to make children “perfect” at meditation—it’s to provide supportive opportunities for them to experience simple, accessible practices they may carry with them as they grow.
