This course was designed with continuing education in mind for the Level 1 – 200+hr Yoga Teacher or higher
who is looking to expand their knowledge, apply specialist teaching and practice concepts, and/or
enhance your personal practice. With that foundation, you will be able to fully utilize the information provided in this course
to enhance your knowledge and current practice.
This course explores what Prenatal and Postnatal yoga is all about and why it holds immense value in promoting health
and relaxation for pregnant students. We will examine the benefits of incorporating Prenatal principles
when teaching classes and how to create a safe and nurturing environment where pregnant women can
connect with their bodies, breathe, and grow their babies.
As a Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga teacher, you are crucial in physically and emotionally supporting mothers-to-be throughout
their pregnancy and after. You will guide them through gentle movements, breathing exercises, and
relaxation techniques designed specifically for the unique needs of pregnant women.
By focusing on poses that help alleviate common pregnancy discomforts like back pain or swelling,
you empower expecting mothers to stay active and comfortable during this transformative time. Your continued guidance
from prenatal through to postnatal helps them build strength and flexibility as well as fosters mindfulness
and inner peace as they prepare for childbirth and after.
