Morning Meditation

Meditation is a very important part of any Yoga practice. The below video from the “Restorative Yoga Practice” video with Deborah Donohue provides 3 sequences that are great examples of how you can conduct a meditation session in your classes. The 3 sequences are:

  • Greeting the Sun Meditation
  • Half Sun Salutation – Surya Namaskar
  • Basic Relaxation (Corpse Pose) Savasana

Meditation – Body Scan Session

This is another example from Deborah Donohue on a Body Scan Meditation session. This meditation is great to do at the end of a class to bring students back to their breath as they relax and settle the body.
